Being a homeowner downtown AND fter waiting a year for Limestone to re-open with the nice bicycle paths and redone sidewalks now we have to stear clear of the HORSE POOP from the Lexington Police department. It's in the street and on the narrow bicycle paths. I literally had to stear around a pile of dung going to class. This is quite frankly laughably a waste of money and is making me more and more frustrated everytime I see this. Are they going to catch crooks running down the street on their horses? Gonna give a speeding ticket on a horse?? Must be nice to get paid to stroll down Lexington on a nice sunny day on a horse all while "littering" up the streets with huge piles of POOP. This is ridiculus to even spend the money to have police horses, I do not see the need whatsoever. We clean up after our pets, please pick up the huge piles of horse poop you are leaving on the streets and in the communities where you do not even live. People that live downtown love the histroic neighborhoods and livly atmosphere, not horse poop from the Police Department. THANKS!
