We've rounded up some how-to Web sites. Do you know more? Many parents need new sources of kid-centered fun projects to do. Such activities are great alternatives to television that help kids tap into their creative sides. Tell us about some resources you've found -- Web sites, books, whatever -- that provide great ideas. Here are some to get us started in no particular order. 1. http://familyfun.go.com/crafts/ and http://familyfun.go.com/ - The Disney Family Fun magazine Web site -- and it's page devoted to crafts - - offers many choices. There are lots of ideas for age appropriate games, crafts and more. 2. http://crafts.kaboose.com/ - Kaboose crafts for kids 3. http://www.kidscraftweekly.com/about.html 4. http://www.parents.com/fun/ - Parents magazine 5. http://www.marthastewart.com/ - Some of these obviously aren't geared toward kids. But moms need mom time too. 6. http://www.crayola.com/ - Crayola site. Think coloring pages among other projects. 7. http://kids.nationalgeographic.com/Activities/ - National Geographic kids. Lots of cool stuff here like eyeball deviled eggs. 8.http://www.busybeekidscrafts.com/ - Busy Bee Kids Crafts

I was searching on youtube for some instructions and came across these young girls making what they call "Chelsey dolls". Smart kids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QY_whX9Grcc

They learn basic tehniques, including various seam width allowances, cornering, pivoting, curves and straight sewing, zippers, buttohnoles, and more! $150.00 includes all supplies for the week. Sewing machines provided, or they can bring their own. Two sessions are planned, with different projects in each session. Session 1 is June 21 thru 25, 9:30-noon, session 2 is July 19 thru 23, 9:30-noon. Space is limited, so call today. 859-260-2003
