Has anyone smoked mutton? I love mutton but who sells it? I live in Louisville. Hopefully my Kentucky buddies in western Kentucky can answer. Thanks! This forum doesn't get much action does it?

Smoked mutton
Wow, I wish I could help Blue, but I have never smoked mutton before,but will ask around. Your right, western Ky would be the place for advice. I'll be searching!

You got me thinking Blue. The best mutton I have ever had was at the Moonlite BBQ in Owensboro. They have a web site. Also checkout Fieryfoods & BBQ Supersite. They have a couple of smoked lamb (mutton) recipes.

Oh Yeah!
I've been to Moonlite a few times. As a matter of fact I bought my Big Green Egg in Owensboro back in 1999 because it was the closest dealer at the time. Maybe this will be the year I finally make it to Owensboro's BBQ festival. Hey thanks for all the info Tejas! Great stuff!
